What is a Certified Technical Architect?

The Certified Technical Architect program is one of the highest levels of certification within the ServiceNow ecosystem and requires skills, knowledge and understanding obtained after a significant amount of time working with ServiceNow. CTA’s possess an in-depth understanding of ServiceNow architecture, design principles, best practices, technical governance and intricacies of the platform. They are experts in turning complex business demands and technical requirements into enterprise-wide architectural blueprints.

How does one become a CTA?

Our CTA’s took just 15 weeks to qualify end-to-end right from the kick-off session to receiving their results for the final assessment. The first step was to ensure they met the pre-requisites (becoming a CSA, CAD and a Certified Implementation Specialist in at least two disciplines). Individuals are then required to attend learning modules, study group meetings, cohort discussions and team presentations across 12 weeks. The process then ends with a final assessment based on a case study followed by a presentation.

What benefits does a CTA bring to an organisation?

Not only does having multiple CTA’s as part of your technical team increase customer confidence within the business and the success rate of projects, the qualification helps employees advance their personal careers with professional credibility and new opportunities. Having such a high calibre of experts brings clear competitive advantage over other organisations and is often the differentiator when businesses choose their ServiceNow partner.

Thinking about taking the next step in your ServiceNow career? Our new CTA’s have got you covered:

‘If I were to give any advice to those who are considering embarking on the CTA program, it would be to engage as much as possible during the weekly sessions. Once you’ve gone through some of the presentations in the session, it becomes an informal discussion amongst the ServiceNow delivery leads. Ensure you express your opinions and get involved – it’s an invaluable experience that’s difficult to find elsewhere, and you’ll learn so much.’
